                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 2300
                   BLOCK OF HICKORY VALLEY ROAD, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHWEST LINE OF HICKORY VALLEY ROAD
                   NORTHEAST OF SHALLOWFORD ROAD FROM R-1
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE AND R-2 RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO
                   R-4 SPECIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
             
              A tract of land located in the 2300 block of Hickory
              Valley Road, being on the northwest line of Hickory
              Valley Road northeast of Shallowford Road.  An unplatted
              tract beginning on the northwest line of Hickory Valley
              Road 750 feet northeast of the intersection of the
              northwest line of Hickory Valley Road with the northeast
              line of Shallowford Road, fronting 160 feet in Hickory
              Valley Road, and extending northwest 280 feet between
              parallel lines.
             
         from R-1 Residential Zone and R-2 Residential Zone to R-4 
Special
         Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, the 
public
         welfare requiring it.
